By placing your order and/or paying your retainer, you agree to the following key terms (full Terms & Conditions available at hollysutorexteriordesigner.com/terms-and-conditions):
- Non-Refundable Design Fee: Design work begins immediately after order, so fees are non-refundable.
- Discovery Call & Major Revisions: The discovery call is where all major structural revisions (decks, rooflines, patios, additions) must be discussed and finalized. Major revisions requested after this call are not included and will require a new design agreement.
- Final Review Call & Minor Revisions: The final review call is provided to walk through your completed design. One round of minor revisions (paint, lighting, doors, small adjustments) is included if requested within 21 days. Additional revisions are billed at $100/hour.
- Timeline & My Time: Your retainer covers my normal professional process. The quoted fee covers the agreed-upon scope and is expected to be completed within 5 weeks. Delays caused by indecision or lack of feedback may pause the project and require a new retainer. Additional research, sourcing, or extended calls beyond the agreed process are billed at $100/hour.
- Scope of Service: I provide design renderings and direction only. Clients are responsible for consulting licensed contractors, engineers, and other professionals for construction.
- Renderings & Measurements: Renderings are for visualization purposes only and are based on the photos and information we discuss. Measurements are approximate. A site plan must be ordered for precise dimensions.
- Landscape Renderings: My landscape renderings show color, texture, scale, and placement for visualization. Suggested plant lists are flexible; final selections, availability, installation, and long-term maintenance are the responsibility of your landscape contractor. Renderings may show mature plants and full bloom for effect. I am not responsible for plant substitutions, survival, or seasonal performance.
- Color Disclaimer: Colors and finishes shown may vary from actual materials. Please confirm all selections with physical samples prior to construction or purchase.
- Contractor & Permits: I do not communicate directly with contractors or guarantee how a contractor will execute a project. Clients are responsible for verifying measurements, confirming costs, and securing permits or HOA approvals.
- No Warranties or Liability: I am not liable for construction outcomes or third-party contractor referrals. Liability is strictly limited to the amount you paid.
- Intellectual Property: All designs remain the property of Holly Sutor Exterior Designer.
