With your design in hand, you now have a clear direction for transforming your home or business exterior. To ensure you’re well-equipped for every step, we’re excited to share additional insights and guidance for your project.
Paint and Stain
We have said it before and will say it again, when it comes to paints and stains it is important that you test them in your environment. You can get samples from local hardware stores and inquire with Holly on obtaining any Sherwin Williams large peel and stick options as well.
Locally Sourced Elements
Some design elements, including gates, metal awnings, fences, wood accents, pergolas and columns, are often best sourced locally, therefore we may not have included a linked recommendation for a vendor. We encourage you to work with your local contractor for recommendations to achieve the look from the design.
Lap siding and Board and batten
Lap siding and board and batten come in an array of widths depending upon the vendor you choose some companies have set options while others allow you to customize. Your design emulates the most common width to produce a visual result yet during installation you may use siding that may be slightly larger or smaller than the design.
Columns
Updating or adding columns to your property can be managed with column wraps or working with PVC, concrete, stucco or wood. Using our design as a reference, your contractor will also have recommendations for installing your columns.
Scale
When creating your design we did take in scale for lights, house numbers, and other features, but we can not guarantee the placement will be exact. We recommend not purchasing non-returnable items to ensure you do purchase the product that replicates the look and feel on the design.
